In this key role, you will spearhead our company's expansion efforts by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing partnerships, and leading the development of sales and marketing strategies to broaden our market reach and increase revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Pipeline Management : Build and maintain a robust 5-year pipeline of new opportunities, focusing on prime pursuits, including multiple award IDIQ and stand-alone contracts.
- Growth Leadership : Drive organic growth while contributing to acquisitive growth strategies through target identification and competitive insights.
- Industry Representation : Serve as a visible leader at industry forums, client meetings, and with potential partners, ensuring our presence is well-known and respected.
- Market & Client Insight : Monitor market dynamics and client needs to drive successful client acquisitions.
- Opportunity Identification : Identify and qualify new business opportunities through a structured gate review process.
- Winning Strategies : Develop comprehensive, innovative bid strategies that position our organization for success.
- Partnership Development : Identify and qualify teaming partners that align with our business objectives.
- Market Analysis & Competitor Assessment : Conduct thorough market analysis and create compelling capability presentations.
- Client Engagement : Engage with clients using strong interpersonal communication skills to execute strategic business plans.
- Proposal Participation : Participate in color reviews and contribute to the development of winning proposals.
- Business Planning : Lead the development and continuous update of market- or client-specific business plans.
- Special Projects : Take on additional duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications
- Industry Expertise : Deep knowledge in areas such as aviation, aerospace, sensor / system integration, and advanced technology.
- Proven Success : Demonstrated success in leading new business pursuits in the $10M-$100M range.
- Networking Skills : Active presence and established network within professional circles and industry associations.
- Business Development Training : Formal training in Shipley BD / Capture Management or equivalent.
- Leadership Experience : Proven experience in managing diverse teams to drive business growth.
- Financial Acumen : Strong understanding of cost structures and financial management principles.
- Client Focus : Exceptional ability to understand and meet client needs.
- Communication & Problem-Solving : Excellent communication skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Industry Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of trends in government and industry impacting our business areas.

Education & Experience
- Education : Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Experience : 15+ years of progressively increasing experience in the Federal government or defense industry.
Physical Requirements
Work Environment : Primarily office-based, requiring constant sitting and use of computers.
Security Clearance
Requirements : Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI DoD clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
