Superintendent - Construction
Position Overview : The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all construction activities, supervising subcontractors, ensuring safety protocols are observed, and ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.
The Superintendent is the primary point of contact with the owner, tradespeople, subcontractors, and other personnel on the project site.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise subcontractors and laborers to ensure work is performed properly and efficiently
- Ensure compliance to safety protocols and quality standards
- Manage the schedule and budget of the construction project
- Ensure materials and supplies are ordered and delivered on time
- Resolve disputes between subcontractors and other personnel
- Maintain proper documentation of construction activities
- Conduct daily inspections of the work site to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to subcontractors and other personnel
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, preferably in multi-family, commercial, healthcare, or industrial construction
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety protocols, and construction methods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
