We are looking for a reliable and professional NEMT driver to join our team on the Peninsula area of Hampton Roads . The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities :

• Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments
• Observe and follow all traffic rules and regulations
• Inspect vehicles before shift by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes and steering to ensure vehicle can be operated safely.

Notify supervisor of mechanical defects or needed repairs.

• Assisting clients with mobility and personal care needs
• Follow safety and COVID protocols
• Instruct clients on safe riding rules and regulations
• Communicating with dispatch and other team members as needed
• Report and document all accidents, vehicle damage, client incidents and mechanical failures.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean and fueled.
• Wheelchair and Gurney lift operation

Requirements :

• Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be at least 20 years old
• Experience as a NEMT driver is preferred, but we will consider candidates with prior driving experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to pass First Aid & CPR training course
• Must have a positive attitude, good communication skills and be empathetic and polite.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle unexpected situations with professionalism and care

Many of our clients are disabled and may need to be transported by wheelchair or gurney.
