Registrar

Vaco Staffing is currently seeking a Medical Registrar for contract-to-hire!

Job responsibilities include :

Patient Registration : Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information accurately into electronic health records (EHR) or hospital information systems (HIS) during the registration process.

Verification and Documentation : Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.

Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, admissions, and discharges.

Appointment Scheduling : Coordinate patient appointments, procedures, and admissions, ensuring scheduling meets patient and healthcare provider preferences while optimizing resource utilization.

Customer Service : Provide excellent customer service by answering patient inquiries, addressing concerns, and facilitating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and other hospital departments.

Requirements :

Previous experience in healthcare administration or patient registration is preferred.

Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and healthcare regulations related to patient privacy (HIPAA) is beneficial.

Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize workload, and provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
