Director of Clinical Education Relationship Management

Description :
The Director of Clinical Education Relationship Management reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for general oversight and growth of clinical education opportunities for Midwestern University students.
The incumbent will support MWU’s interest in strengthening and growing its relationship with current clinical education partners and goals of expanding into new partnerships and increasing clinical education opportunities across the country with an emphasis in the Phoenix and Chicago markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with representatives at current clinical education partners to assess the status of the relationship and identify possibilities for growing student rotations and improving the student rotation experience.
- Act as a liaison, fostering strong connections between MWU and current clinical education partners.
- Cultivate relationships with new clinical education partners nationwide with a primary focus on both the local Phoenix and Chicago areas.
- Oversee the Monthly Rotations Meeting to discuss general clinical education matters.
- Work closely with the Chief Academic Officers and the Chief Financial Officer to create and oversee a general strategy around creating an exceptional clinical education experience for MWU students.
- Supervise the Clinical Education Rotation Administrator and the Analyst of Clinical Education Administration.
- This position will require travel.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree in education, medical education, or public health is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 7-10 years of experience as a physician, physician’s assistant, advanced practice nurse, healthcare administration, or related experience required.
- Must have prior experience in graduate medical education.
- The ideal candidate will have prior experience cultivating and managing partnerships in the healthcare or higher education sectors.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including clinical education trends and best practices.
- Must be able and willing to travel to the Downers Grove, IL campus.
