Position Purpose :

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and effective communication.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties :

  • Project Planning : Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Team Leadership : Coordinate across internal teams and / or external vendors, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Budget Management : Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensure project deliverables meet preset standards and fulfill business requirements.
  • Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate project processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications :

  • Education / Certification :
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or other certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge :
  • Strong background in information technology.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Understanding of computerized information systems and their application, including security systems.
  • Understanding of the O365 platform, ERP, and SaaS applications.
  • Experience :
  • At least two years of experience in IT project management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Experience with various project management tools.
  • Experience with various software development life cycle processes.
  • Previous problem resolution regarding computer systems and / or software.
  • Skills and Abilities :
  • Ability to work independently and exhibit leadership qualities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Internal Contacts : Has regular contact with McElroy’s Inc. department managers and employees in the process of doing assigned duties.

External Contacts : Has regular contact with McElroy’s Inc. business clients and vendors regarding computer, network and information technologies.

Physical Demands : Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and / or a negligible amount of force frequently. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing.

Work Environment : Normal office environment with little discomfort due to such factors as noise, heat, dust, or other adverse factors.
