Job Id : 1132 # of Openings : 0 TIAG is now hiring a Systems Engineer to join our team at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH, supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
The Systems Engineer engages in technical activities ranging from reviewing software configuration to implementing systems and security in a lab setting.
All systems are Windows-based supporting Industrial Control System (ICS) applications. Duties & Responsibilities :
- Works closely with government and supporting teams to integrate, test, and upgrade software
- Investigate ICS programming problems, propose solutions and recommend design improvements for increased efficiency
- Assists architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate functionality
- Interface with vendors to articulate system requirements and reporting findings to the customer
- Contributes to the implementation planning, scheduling, and assessments for system and networking operations
- Support security authorization activities in compliance with DoD Risk Management Process (RMF) process and other DoD and DoN policies and procedures
- Applies knowledge of systems administration and security implementation to improve processes and methods to be more efficient and effective
Travel : Up to 50% Required Experience :
- DoD Secret Clearance; TS / SSBI preferred
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering or similar preferred
- An Information Assurance certification in compliance with DoD 8570 (e.g. Security+, CISSP) (IAT Level II) is required
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft-based systems administration
- Experience with cybersecurity implementation (applying updates / patches)
- Experience with cybersecurity concepts and requirements : Firewall Policy, Ports & Protocols, Cybersecurity, Cybersafe, DoD A&A processes and standards, etc.
- Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities
- Experience with ICS / SCADA highly desired
- Ability to manage time well to meet assigned milestones
- Ability to configure network devices such as switches and routers
- Capable of performing analytical work, with accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills; motivated to investigate, analyze, and document system issues and resolutions
- Strong work ethic and a proven professional - respectful, dependable, takes initiative and follows through
