Overview

Openshift / System administrator position onsite in Denton, TX. Long-term role based in Denton, TX for an Openshift / System administrator / Devops.

Responsibilities

  • Application Implementation :

Administrate Redhat Openshift platform.

  • Installs and configures software components for business applications relying on databases and other technical middleware, and client-side counterparts. Handles multiple (non-production and production) application environments.
  • Collaborates with Application and other IT teams regarding creation and evolution of documentation, implementation standards and processes, and support phase activities scoping and documentation.
  • Technical Support :

    • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to installation / operation and offer timely solutions to ensure optimal performance.

  • Manages changes and upgrades (major / minor) on the environments based on requirements and updates documentation and repositories, accordingly, following change management procedures.
  • Analyze and define monitoring of critical components health and execution of schedules.
  • Investigates root causes and resolves problems in a structured approach, involving other teams if required.

  • Knowledge and field experience in Kubernetes / Openshift administration - Expert
  • Knowledge and field experience with Linux and Windows Servers administration - Advanced
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Advanced
  • Written and verbal communication (English) - Advanced
  • Ability to work in a multinational / multicultural environment - Advanced
  • Knowledge in Gitlab CI / CD - Basic
  • Knowledge in Helm deployment and debugging - Basic
  • Knowledge and experience with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and NIST 800-171 - Basic
  • ITIL Best Practices - Basic
