Civil Project Manager (PE) – Land Development / Site Design About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager (PE) to oversee design and delivery of land development and municipal infrastructure projects throughout the Richmond area. This role requires a licensed civil engineer with the ability to prepare, certify, and stamp engineering plans in Virginia.
The Civil Project Manager will lead a team of engineers and designers, manage contracts, and ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor project engineers and civil designers.
- Prepare, review, and certify / stamp plans, reports, and calculations in accordance with Virginia DPOR requirements.
- Write and approve project proposals, cost estimates, and design documents.
- Manage design and construction contracts, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Conduct analyses for grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, traffic, and hydrology.
- Perform QA / QC on all project submittals to ensure quality and compliance.
- Estimate quantities, materials, and labor to determine feasibility and project budgets.
- Communicate directly with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.10+ years of professional experience in civil site design, land development, or public infrastructure.Active Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) license , or ability to obtain within 6 months.Demonstrated ability to certify and stamp plans.Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.Compensation & Benefits
