SAGE Dining Services® is seeking experienced food service workers to support our culinary team for a brand new kitchen opening in Alexandria, VA.
The ideal candidates are personable, positive, forward-thinking, and customer service-minded. These individuals must be able to work well with others and take direction with a can-do attitude.
We are currently looking for dishwashers, prep cooks, servers, and line cooks!
Our venue is located in the Seminary Hill area of Alexandria, however training for this role may take place in Alexandria, VA, Washington DC, or Bethesda, MD over the summer, in preparation for the new kitchen opening in August.
Schedule :
- Monday - Friday
- 6 : 00 A.M.- 2 : 30 P.M.
- Summers off!
- Additional hours may be available for events, with advanced notice given.
Pay Rates :
- Dishwasher- $18 / hour
- Server- $18 / hour
- Prep Cook- $20 / hour
- Cook- $22 / hour

What you'll do :
- Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
- Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile.
- Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes.
- Clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations to ensure our guests enjoy amazing dining experiences.
- Clean all work areas and customer service areas on an ongoing basis.
- Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques always (HACCP).
- Assist in training new culinary Team Members.
- Endure exposure to extreme temperatures; intense heat and freezing cold.
- Adapt to additional duties as assigned by management.
What you'll need :
- Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.
- Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
- Ability to properly set up a buffet or serving station.
- Experience in customer service strongly preferred, but not required.
- Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction.
