Job Title : Clinical Nurse I, II, III, IV Job Specialty : Oncology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 19 : 00-07 : 00 Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience License : Current RN license or current Compact state license Certifications : - BLS Certification required within 2 weeks of hire date - All other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire date Must-Have : - Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age / type of patient population served - Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely appropriate to the developmental age of the patient Job Description : - Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on assigned units - Ensure quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with the unit's standards of care - Demonstrate performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization - Treat staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect - Ability to handle emergency / crisis situations and prolonged standing and walking - Requires heavy physical effort for positioning, pushing, and / or transferring patients or equipment and supplies - Involves considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching - Requires the ability to judge distance and space relationships, see peripherally, distinguish and identify different colors - Hearing and visual acuity must be within normal or correctable limits - Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination are required - Subject to exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays - Work in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment - Subject to stressful professional relationships and varied working hours with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies
