What is in it for you :
Reporting to the Director of Front Office responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
- Assist the Director of Front Office in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
- Lead the department in the absence of the Director of Front Office
- Provides managerial support for Reception Royal Service and Guest Services in the daily operational duties for these areas
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
- Ensure proper staffing and scheduling of all Front Office colleagues in accordance to productivity guidelines
- Maximize rooms revenue through participating in yield management meetings and implementing agreed upon Revenue Management strategies and practices
- Conduct regular departmental meetings
- Assist in preparation annual budgets and forecasts and administer in a fiscally responsible manner
- Oversee group business reviewing and ensuring details of group resumes are met
- Oversee the selection training and development of all Colleagues to ensure timely recruitment and career growth
- Liaise with Finance department to ensure credit procedures are properly carried out
- Follow department policies procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
- Salary Range : $79000$105000 USD Gross Annually
Your experience and skills include :
- Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
- Ability to lead by example believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
- Highly organized resultsoriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset
- Fluency in English
- Must have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks and Guest requests
- Knowledge of Opera Property Management System an asset
- Should possess or seek certification in basic first aid
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
- Experience with a Hotel loyalty program an asset
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to) :
- Seated computer work including constant keyboarding and mousing
- Occasional lifting up to 25lbs
