Job Functions
Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is accountable for the day to day management, operation, and execution within in the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides effective leadership and consistently improve manufacturing standards, utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel to obtain maximum efficiency and meet or exceed performance objectives.
- Ensures the safety of each individual during the entire shift.
- Ensures that all production, quality and safety goals are met.
- Manages the daily production schedules and work force requirements to ensure objectives are met.
- Responsible for the effective managements of the following operation(s) :
- The HTST / Pasteurization systems,
- The Fillers,
- The Packaging Line(s)
- The Batching Systems
- Ensures all required production and sanitation documentation is completed and accurate.
- Assists in troubleshooting production problems and developing preventive or corrective actions.
- Assists management in implementing changes to improve quality, to improve work process and reduce costs.
- Provides leadership & training to Joriki Inc. Employees in regarding the following :
- Quality Policies,
- Food Safety
- SOP’s,
- Compliance and Product & Process performance,
- HACCP,
- Sanitation
- Health and Safety
- Environmental policies
- Ensure GMPs and Management of Allergens is followed as per procedures.
- Ensure spillages are cleaned up immediately to eliminate the potential for cross contamination of allergens.
Authorities
- Authorized to stop Production immediately and report to QA Manager any Environmental, Health and Safety, Food Safety and Quality related issue that may have an impact on the Finished Products.
- Authorized to shut down the line if there is any Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality or Food Safety concern.
- Authority to inform Plant Manager & Production Manager immediately.
- Not authorized to change any running parameters without Quality knowledge and change management process followed.
- Not authorized to release any product on hold.
Requirements :
Education & Experience Requirements
- 5-8 yrs experience within the Food & Beverage Industry
- 3-5 Yrs in a Production Supervisory capacity within the Food & Beverage Industry
- Post Secondary High School Education
- Computer Literacy in Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- HACCP Trained preferable (will train)
- Experience in Production & Sanitation Processes & Equipment Operations & Troubleshooting
- Sound Knowledge of SOP’s, GMP’s, Food Handling Hygiene
