The Warehouse Manager will work both strategically and tactically in the development, supervision, and personnel management of a Region Distribution Center.
This position is responsible for all warehouse organization, policy and procedural management and inventory control. The role will support freight and inventory logistics for up to six satellite operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
Maintain and implement policy and procedures for Warehouse Department
Training for new warehouse staff
Supervision of Warehouse Department
Ensure all safety policies and OSHA regulations are adhered.
Verify all measurements & cuts leaving the warehouse.
Inventory Management and Weekly Cycle Count Procedures
Maintain accurate bin locations by recording roll & Item moves.
Verify payment and product on will call customers.
Back-up Warehouse Associates when absent or shorthanded due to being assign othernon-warehouse tasks.
Perform shipping & receiving duties as needed.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness.
Notification to proper staff of orders that will not meet original delivery date.
Promote positive and professional work environment.
Any other tasks assigned by management.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience
5+ Years of warehouse management experience. Flooring Industry or other construction industry a plus.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Interpersonal Skills
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Strategic and creative mindset. Ability to plan, multitask and manage time effectively.
Other Skills
Proficient in MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. ERP experience. Operate basic office equipment (copier, printer, scanner, etc.)
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of standing and walking as well as sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift to 60lbs when needed.
