Transportation Planning Intern

What You Will Be Doing :

As a Planning and / or Project Funding Intern, you will be part of a fast-paced environment, supporting project teams for services related to transportation planning, bicycle / pedestrian planning, securing competitive funding for projects, land use analysis and impacts, research, analysis and impacts; and environmental documents.

You will gain experience in the following areas :

• Transportation planning methods and application at the local and regional level multimodal, active transportation and bicycle-pedestrian planning methods and design standards for application in urban and rural areas corridor and small area plans
• Researching methods and statistical principles related to urban / rural growth and development
• Methods and techniques of effective technical report preparation and presentations
• Policy research and persuasive writing skills
• Agency and stakeholder involvement techniques and processes
• Project communications and public engagement methods and facilitation

What We Are Looking for :

Each year we look for variety of experience, education, and ability for our student intern pool. Relocation and housing are not included.

Bolton & Menk will currently not be providing visa sponsorship or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary Range : $18.00 - 24.00 / hour depending on years of experience and credentials

Bolton & Menk is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to specific geographic location.
