The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational performance of multiple clinical sites within the assigned region.

This role involves leading the operations team to continuously improve processes, analyzing performance metrics, managing financial oversight, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.

The Regional Director of Operations works closely with Center Administrators to enhance patient experience, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure optimal staffing levels across all clinics.

Compensation : Salaries range from $95,000 to $125,000 annually, based on experience

Administrative :

  • Oversee staffing and scheduling processes, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and performance management while optimizing personnel costs.
  • In conjunction with the Human Resources department ensures adequate staffing is available for clinical shifts and anticipates shortfalls.
  • Onboards, trains, coaches, and supervises staff in coordination with Human Resources and Center Operations leadership.
  • Oversee financial operations for the region, including reviewing financial reports, managing budgets, and assisting with the annual budget creation process.
  • Responsible for mentoring and coaching center staff to meet Key Performance Indicator ( KPI ) targets and goals.
  • Monitors centers productivity and ensures compliance with KPIs
  • Manage disciplinary concerns, conduct necessary discussions in consultation with Human Resources, ensuring consistent application of policies.
  • Work collaboratively throughout the organization to ensure the adoption of standards, policies, and procedures that result in continuous patient care improvement.
  • Consult with medical center staff, peers, and supervisors on patient care and customer service issues, functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensures completion of all clinical charting and documentation required by staff in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Conduct regular clinic visits to monitor performance, provide leadership coverage, and address operational challenges as needed.
  • Ensure regional clinics comply with all safety, risk management, and policy standards by regularly assessing operations and addressing gaps.
  • Oversee the maintenance of clinic equipment and daily supplies to ensure smooth operation.
  • Maintains current knowledge-base and appropriate licensure.

Clinical Process Improvement and Efficiency :

  • Evaluates current clinical flow and EMR utilization across region to form best practice utilization procedures.
  • Monitor performance trends across the region and develop action plans to address areas needing improvement.
  • Lead the regional operations team in continuous improvement projects, utilizing performance metrics to drive strategic action.
  • Empower Center Administrators to evaluate and improve processes and workflows, focusing on enhancing patient experience and operational efficiency.
  • In conjunction with Human Resources and Center Operations leadership, helps develop training materials for current and new staff members to drive adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Medical, Physical Therapy, Human Resources, Business Development, Billing, and IT to improve overall clinic performance and operational management.
  • Coordinates with Center Operations leadership on any issues or needs to improve operational flows.
  • In partnership with Center Operations leadership, designs, implements, and re-evaluates ongoing clinical protocols and standard operating procedures.

Communication :

  • Establishes and maintains effective and positive working relationships with client companies, outside agencies, governmental entities and vendors.
  • Participates and collaborates with Sales / Marketing to drive business to centers
  • Participate and attend, in collaboration with Sales / Marketing, clinic tours, lunch and learns, employer onsite tours and other similar activities as directed.
  • Troubleshoots difficult problems or situations and takes independent action to help resolve problems with client companies, outside agencies, governmental entities and vendors.
  • Creates and maintains effective professional relationships with employees including providers, clinical staff, and clinical leadership;

keeps staff informed of changes which may affect the work environment.

Communicates effectively with all levels of staff throughout regional clinics by consistently utilizing and facilitating effective strategies to encourage collaborative problem solving and decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications :

These are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this job.

  • Minimum of 5 years of multi-site clinical management experience, preferably in an occupational and / or urgent care setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) preferred
  • Must be willing to travel frequently within assigned region.
  • Dedication to service excellence with a commitment to adhering to established clinical and operational standards.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, selection, coaching, and performance management of clinical and administrative staff.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adept at identifying operational issues, developing action plans, and executing effective solutions.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to apply financial principles to clinic operations and budgeting.
  • Strong track record of translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and programs.
  • Results-oriented, with a proactive approach to conflict resolution and operational challenges.
  • Proven leadership in team building, mentoring, motivation, and conflict resolution.
  • Adheres to HIPAA guidelines and upholds all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly effective in both oral and written communication, ensuring clarity and alignment across the organization.
  • General computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and patient medical record system.
  • Current valid state Driver’s license.

Work and Location :

  • On-Site at a designated center in the Region.
  • Travel is required as needed to evaluate clinical processes as demanded by market requirements. Up to 75% travel required within the assigned Region
  • Salaried, Exempt position. Work hours may vary.
