This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a scaling IT team as the face of our IT support flow. As an IT Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for IT service, providing exceptional support for end users and handling administrative requests.
You will also collaborate closely with the IT team on larger projects and tasks. This role demands excellent problem-solving abilities, a proactive approach, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days in-person
out of our downtown Boston office
Primary Responsibilities :
- Administer Information Technology assets, user accounts, permissions, and access rights across diverse platforms and applications.
- Address and resolve internal support requests with a focus on delivering timely and efficient technical assistance.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain clear and organized information.
- Swiftly identify and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure seamless operations.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, network devices, and overall IT infrastructure.
- Establish and sustain security protocols to protect IT assets and data integrity.
- Work collaboratively with the IT team to execute system upgrades, updates, and patches.
- Stay aware of industry trends and advancements in IT system administration for continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience :
- 3+ years of experience supporting IT environments using cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with workstation deployment tools Intune, JAMF, SCCM, PDQ, etc.
- Basic troubleshooting of common operating systems Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android.
- Experience with cloud platforms AWS and Azure preferred.
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize requests as they come in.
- Ability to work both independently, collaboratively, and flexibly in a fast-paced startup environment.
Education and Certifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Relevant IT certifications are highly valued. Examples include :
- CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+
- Microsoft Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate
- ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity
- JAMF Certified Associate
- ITIL Foundation V4
- Linux Professional Institute Certification
At Elucid, we believe the optimal balance is found in a hybrid work setting. Boston-area employees are strongly encouraged to be in-person on Mondays and Wednesdays, with the option to come in as many days as they’d like.
Fully remote employees, who live outside the greater Boston area, come in as needed.
