About the Team

As a part of Walmart's eCommerce Product team, you'll be the voice of our customer. Walmart was founded with the belief that the customer is #1.

The eCommerce Product team builds products to enhance the experience for millions of customers who shop with us online or use the app to shop in our stores.

You'll leverage the best and latest technologies to develop experiences that have changed the industry.

The Search Product team within eCommerce is responsible for delivering the platform that helps our customers discover the right products and services that Walmart has to offer.

The team leverages sophisticated machine learning, data science and big data technologies to understand customers' intent and provide relevant product and services through the best possible experience.

The team also provides tools to our internal stakeholders to help promote and discover new items and experiences, our associates to fulfill our customers' needs, and provide feedback to our merchants on products, customers need.

We serve millions of queries every single day, use the most cutting-edge technologies to drive discoverability at scale and help our customers navigate our assortment seamlessly.

As a Principal Product manager for Variant Experience in Search , you will lead the vision and charter to drive the E2E item variant experience that will be used by millions of our customers.

This leader will work closely with engineering, data science and design to build the best-in-class variant platform and elevate the right variant (color, style, pattern etc.

for each item - every single time. This leader will own both the front-end experience to display and elevate the right variant for each item, as well as owns the back-end architecture and AI / ML models which selects the most desirable variant based on customer, journey and query context.

You will be responsible for leading the 4 in the box, implementing and influencing the ways of working, leading discovery with product mindset, customer centricity and data driven decisions.

You will be managing cross-functional leadership and stakeholder alignment across partner teams including Technology, Business, Design and Product partners.

You'll make an impact by :

  • Reimagining the Search Variant E2E platform and experience with a group of talented designers, product managers, platform engineers, and data scientists
  • Defining product vision and strategies for Variants
  • Build product roadmaps and create PRDs, by aligning business and technical needs, and turning customer insights into actionable initiatives.

You will be responsible for determining rollout strategy, manage risks, and evolve these capabilities to operate at Walmart-scale.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
