Due to growth, we have an immediate need for a Vice President, Construction Operations in San Jose with experience in HVAC, Purchasing, Safety and Field Operations.

Job Details
MUST HAVES : Experience :
Experience :
- 15+ years leading operational organizations for Mechanical companies or HVAC
- Experience supervising department heads and union-affiliated field leaders.
- Proven track record of managing operations teams across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process piping trades.
Leadership & People Management :
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
- Ability to build and develop teams, providing mentorship and fostering professional growth.
Safety & Compliance :
- Strong focus on promoting safety culture.
- Ability to ensure compliance with safety regulations, enforce tailgate meetings, pre-task plans, and job hazard analyses.
Operational Oversight :
- Proven ability to manage and improve operational delivery, including tracking KPIs and driving productivity.
- Experience with Lean Construction principles to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
Financial Acumen :
- Deep understanding of business financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Ability to analyze financial data and align operations with business financial goals.
- Ability to drive purchasing for the entire organization
Communication Skills :
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to interact at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Experience building relationships with vendors, clients, and cross-functional teams.
Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking :
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to flex between strategic planning and tactical execution.
Adaptability & Resilience :
Ability to manage changing priorities, work under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Educational Background :
Bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred).
