St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport is seeking a compassionate and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care for general surgery patients.
This role involves promoting safe care through evidence-based practices, maintaining a high level of sterility, and communicating effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to assess patients' needs
- Prepare the operating room for surgery
- Monitor patient vital signs
- Adhere to safety standards and precautions
- Pass medical instruments to the surgeon during operations
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association
- 2 years' experience as Operating Room Nurse (scrub experience is a plus)
- Associate degree required, BSN preferred
