Description of Task to be Performed :

• Serve as the technical lead for all iOS software development efforts.
• Be a leader of juniors, mentor juniors, incrementally plan development and assign tasks.
• Work with other teams to achieve results, act as team representative / spokesperson.
• Oversee data architectures, software assurance, and security.
• Conduct rapid software prototyping to demonstrate and evaluate technologies in relevant environments.
• Evaluate software systems through performance, security, and other assessments.
• Test software capabilities using novel testing and analysis techniques.
• Document software with an emphasis on architectures, user stories, and interface definitions.
• Practice agile software development methods and actively participate on teams of software developers, researchers, designers, and technical leads.
• Support software development infrastructure and assist in building and configuring computing systems and resources.
• Interface with the technical community and other Government entities to understand challenges, needs, and develop solutions.
• Contribute to improving the overall technical capabilities of the customer’s mission by participating in design sessions and sharing insights across Government organizations.
• This position is on-site with our customer in one of the following locations : Quantico, VA; Stafford, VA; Woodbridge, VA;

or Chantilly, VA. After successful initial support, there is the possibility for remote support on a case-by-case basis with customer approval.

This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access with a polygraph.

Required Qualifications :

• Work experience as a technical lead and subject matter expert (SME) on a major program, project, or activity.
• Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in the direct performance of a major program, project, or activity relating to computer software development at the user and kernel level, computer programming, and / or computer digital forensics.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of intensive software development experience in modern languages such as C / C++ or Python.
• Knowledge of other commonly used languages such as Rust, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, Go, etc.
• Working knowledge of modern computing paradigms and environments such as NoSQL systems, cloud computing, virtualization, parallel programming, network programming, mobile development, and interface development.
• Experience with end-to-end software development activities in Mac and iOS.
• Familiarity with modern software development tools, version control systems, and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, GitLab, etc.).
• Working knowledge and experience in participating in agile software development practices and team design sessions.
• Experience working on a software development team (with a focus on the iOS operating system).
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability with an aptitude to explore and evaluate many possible solutions to problems.
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering from an accredited university / college.

Alternatively, a combination of experience and equivalent technical certifications may be considered as substitutes for formal education.

Preferred Qualifications :

Software Engineer contributed to open-source development projects.
