Financial Analyst I - Credit and Consolidations
SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst I will playa critical role in the financial review of lease agreements within theorganization. This position involves a high level of analytical expertise,financial acumen, and attention to detail.
Analyses for compliancewith current accounting guidance from AICPA and IASB authoritative boards aswell as compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Maintains leasingdata utilizing designated leasing software and reviews for reasonableness of leaseaccounts reflected in the company’s ERP system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review detailed lease records and corresponding financial statements for compliance with company policies and procedures, US GAAP, IASB and statutory rules and regulations.
- Analyze and interpret lease agreements to extract critical financial information.
- Assess the financial implications of lease renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to reconcile lease-related accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the lease management function.
- Generate monthly reports and schedules as required.
- Provide information to internal and external auditors on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Adapt procedures and tasks to streamline and optimize processes as needed or required.
- Provide support for other areas within the Consolidation, Budgeting, Credit and Lease department.
- Some overtime required at peak times.
EDUCATIONAND / OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance Analysis
- Minimum 1 years of Lease Accounting experience
- Theoretical and practical understanding of US GAAP
- Oracle experience preferred but must have some ERP experience.
- Ability to perform Excel functions such as basic macros, look up functions, pivot tables, among others.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Strong technical, organizational andcommunication skills required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Abilityto add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate present and future values,discount rates, amortization, and depreciation.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to deal with unforeseen situationsin a professional manner.
