A great School is looking for an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join their growing team!
Responsibilities and requirements include :
- Conducts initial and on-going behavior assessments for students with a PBSP or may need a PBSP.
- To design, implement, and collect data on a PBSP.
- To answer pages and provide crisis intervention as needed.
- To participate as a member of the IEP team as well as during IEP meetings if requested.
- To provide support to classroom staff in managing students with challenging behaviors.
- May include but are not limited to lifting and transferring of a student.
Qualifications / Education and Experience :
- M.A. or M.S. in either Psychology (TC 322) or Special Education (TC 323).
- Current Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- NYS Licensed Behavior Analyst Preferred.
- Knowledge of assessment and treatment through Applied Behavior Analysis teaching techniques in an education and / or residential setting.
- Knowledge of ICF regulations.
- Must have 1 year experience with Special Needs children 3-22.
- Might spend 5 hrs / week at a preschool location.
- No new grads.
