About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) (with RNFA) to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery Associates team in Ohio.
This is a high-priority, full-time position with a focus on cardiac surgery, first-assisting, and inpatient care.
Position Details :
- Start Date : ASAP
- Duration : Full-time
- Credential Accepted : NP or PA with at least 1 year of experience in cardiac surgery
- Board Status : Board Certified
- State License Required : Ohio (IMLC not accepted)
- Certifications Required : ACLS, BLS
- DEA Required : Yes
Job Responsibilities :
- First-assisting in cardiac surgery
- Conduit harvesting (EVH : Maquet Vasoview HemoPro 2)
- Inpatient rounding and consults
- Placement of arterial and venous lines
- Chest tube insertion (rare), chest tube removal, removal of pacing wires, IABPs, ECMO decannulation
- After-hours telephone beeper call for consults and OR (not in-house)
- 80%-90% OR work; 10%-20% inpatient work
- No advanced heart failure, VADs, or transplants
Schedule :
- Most common schedule is 7-on / 7-off, but other options (including part-time arrangements) may be considered
- Weekend work required
- Estimated shifts per month : 14
- After-hours call via beeper (not in-house)
- Telephone call with zero average admissions during call
