Rutgers University, School of Health Professions (SHP) invites applications for a part-time, 12-month faculty position in the Department of Clinical Laboratory and Medical Imaging Sciences (CLMIS), Clinical Laboratory Sciences Division (CLS).
The position is available as early as September 2024. The new faculty will be joining the Department and SHP as we continue to expand and build upon our success in the continuum of Clinical Laboratory Science education at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Baccalaureate Medical Laboratory Science, Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (MS-CLS) and Doctorate in Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS).
Interprofessional education opportunities are fostered within the Department of CLMIS and SHP.
Responsibilities include campus and online course development and instruction in undergraduate and some graduate courses.
The areas of focus would be clinical microbiology / infectious disease, molecular diagnostics, laboratory management, and interprofessional education.
The candidate will be expected to advise undergraduate students, pursue scholarly activities and service to the university, school, and professional community.
Position Status Part Time Posting Number 24FA0770 Posting Open Date Posting Close Date Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience The successful candidate must holda minimum of a master’s degree and ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical laboratory science field.
The candidate will be expected to obtain a terminal degree within an allotted time. Current professional U.S. certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS (ASCP)CM or equivalent is preferred.
Individuals with a medical degree with experience in clinical pathology / laboratory medicine, or doctoral prepared candidates (PhD.
DSc, EdD) with experience and / or specialty certification in a clinical laboratory science discipline will be considered.
