Job Details
L&D / Mother Baby - 8 position at St Josephs Hospital - WVU for a 13 week contract.
Job Requirements
- ACLS, BLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP required
- C-section experience required
- Ability to handle various situations including gestational age of 20 weeks & up, mag, insulin, pitocin, multiples, VBACS, etc.
- Potentially float to MedSurg or ER as helping hands while keeping 'clean' for deliveries
Schedule Information
- Shifts are 12 hours; 0645-715 (typically 4 RN's during the day & 3-4 at night)
- At least 2 weekends / month required
- Potential to be placed on call due to low / high census
- Orientation is mainly done on the unit 2-3 shifts with a preceptor
Unit Specific Information
- Unit OB - L&D / PP with 8 Total Beds : 4 labor beds & 4 PP beds plus Nursery with 8 crib capability
- Ratios are generally 1 : 1 for L&D, 1 : 4 couplets
- Charge Nurse - Yes (perm staff, not travelers)
- Nurse Aides / OB tech details
- Floor specific orientation on the unit
- Floating policy and experiences if necessary
