Nurse patient ratio : 1 : 6

EMR Exp : EPIC charting

Requirements :

Must live 50 Miles away from facility

Orientation is every other Monday

BLS, ACLS and NY license in hand

Unit :

Cancer diagnosis (including some chemotherapy), palliative / end of life care, general med / surg - wound care, IV antibiotics, renal / kidney injury, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, ortho / general / urology surgeries post operative

Common medications :

IV antibiotics, IV chemotherapy, IV fluids / electrolytes, PO antihypertensive meds, PO electrolyte replacement, controlled substances - narcotics, benzodiazepines, other assorted medications to treat chronic medical conditions (i.

e. inhalers, insulin and other anti-diabetics, etc.)
