This position safeguards Intermountain Healthcare's assets through monthly accounting operations and internal controls and ensures accurate and compliant financial reporting.
This is a hybrid position being offered to local Utah applicants only.

The Intermountain Ventures team is looking for an intellectually curious Senior Accountant to be part of an innovative, mission-driven accounting team within Intermountain Healthcare.
- Understands and explains all aspects of the accounting process for Intermountain Ventures’ operations, strategic investments, and partnerships.
- Performs routine and non-routine accounting tasks requiring in-depth analysis and problem solving.
- Acts as an accounting technical resource to others.
- Understands and explains the interrelationship of accounting with non-finance areas of the company.
- Provides expertise in applying generally accepted accounting principles to all phases of accounting operations for Intermountain Ventures.
- May act as a mentor to other members of accounting services.
- Responsible for in-depth analysis and critical accounting entries during the month-end close and financial statement review.
- May have responsibility for training, coordinating, and reviewing work of others.
- May be a project lead or perform supervisory duties.
- Assists in the preparation of internal and external audit schedules.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, with four years of professional accounting experience.
- OR - Master's degree with two years of experience (Master of Business Administration or Master of Accountancy). Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Masters of Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant
- Investment fund accounting experience
Physical Requirements :
- Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.
- Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
- See and read computer monitors and documents.
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience : $32.77 - $51.61.
