Summary : We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Math Teacher for a high school and middle school-level position in our Special Education school in Auburn.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, focusing on math education at the high school level.
- Create engaging and accessible lesson plans tailored to the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and materials to promote student understanding and progress in math.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Requirements :
- Special Education certification for high school-level teaching in the state of New York.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Mathematics Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
