Shift : Days / 7 : 45a-6 : 15p (10x4) 40 hours per week

Length : 13 weeks

Required to do homework / prepwork for next day. Alaris pumps and IV finders used. Provider Support : Interpretation services, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Social Services, and Unit Secretary.

Provider Coverage : NP and Oncologist.

Day shift, 4x10s, 0. No weekends, no on call, no float. Pyxis med system, EPIC documentation, SBAR comm. 1 year experience REQUIRED, 2+ preferred.

40hr orientation w / 20hr on floor. Caribbean Blue scrubs, not provided.

Certifications REQUIRED : BLS (AHA only, no HeartCode); Chemo cert (OCN preferred)

• Skills REQUIRED : Infusion Center; Administration of chemotherapy; IV push administration of chemotherapy; Management / disposal cytotoxic spills;
• Monitor chemotherapy; Recognize / communicate abnormal lab values; Accessing Ports; Care and management of ports; Central line blood draw;
• Central Line / Implanted Line Care; Infusion pump management; Intravenous hydration / multivitamins; Starting IVs; Antiemetic;
• Neupogen; Anaphylaxis; Extravasation injury; IV push narcotic agents; Neutropenic precautions; Patient / Family education and support;

Altered mental status; Constipation / diarrhea; Nausea / vomiting; Neuropathy

• Skills Preferred : Inpatient oncology; Recognize / manage side effects; Care of patients with various types of cancer (Bladder / Kidney Cancer;
• Brain cancer; Breast Cancer; Colorectal Cancer; Ear / Nose / Throat Cancers; Kidney Cancer; Leukemia / Blood Dyscrasias;
