We are seeking compassionate and experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team and help us achieve this mission.
Position Summary : The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will play a crucial role in delivering personalized care and support to adults with special needs.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe, engaging, and fulfilling day for each participant, addressing their unique needs with patience and empathy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Individualized Support : Collaborate with team members to provide tailored care that meets the diverse needs and preferences of each participant.
- Safety & Supervision : Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and supervising participants attentively.
- Engagement & Activities : Facilitate and support activities that promote social interaction, skill development, and overall well-being.
- Daily Living Assistance : Assist with daily living tasks such as meal support, mobility, and personal care as needed.
- Communication : Maintain open and effective communication with participants, families, and team members to address any concerns and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Documentation : Keep accurate records of daily activities, participant progress, and any incidents, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Relevant experience working with adults with special needs in a caregiving or support role is essential.
- Training : Required certifications and training in special needs care, such as CPR / First Aid.
- Skills : Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, demonstrate patience, and handle diverse needs with empathy.
- Attributes : Must be caring, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality support. Ability to adapt to changing needs while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
