A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a Spanish-speaking, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Family Medicine team in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity :
- Assignment Length : Ongoing
- Schedule : Monday to Friday
- Hours : 8am to 5pm
Responsibilities :
The Family Medicine Nurse (RN) will :
- Observe patients conditions
- Assess and records symptoms, reactions and progress related to medications and / or vaccinations
- Distribute non-prescription medication as requested by provider
- Assist providers during examinations and treatments
- Triage patients based on acuity
- Administer medications and vaccines
- Check equipment, logs, and medical kits; order supplies, as needed
- Maintain health records by documenting patient contact and updating patient profile
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- 1+ year of experience working with Adults and Children
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and treating the underserved population
- Computer savvy
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills :
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Outpatient background
