Pharmacist

Action StaffingSolutions is seeking Pharmacists for one of our Government clients.The position involves providing onsite services from Monday toFriday except for recognized US holidays or facility closures dueto emergencies administrative closings or Governmentdirectedfacility / installationclosings.

There are two shiftsavailable :

1st shift : 6 : 30AM through3 : 00PM

2nd shift : 3 : 30PM through 12 : 00AM

The duties for this positioninclude :

• Provide pharmaceuticalverification of prescription orders of legend OTC Medical Surgical(Med / Surg) and Controlled Substances to patients requiringcare.
• Assessment of drug order andcross match with medication presented at checkingstations.
• Preverification of medicationsloaded into mechanical apparatus to dispense medications inprescription bottles.
• Verification and fill ofcontrolled substance orders schedules III IV andV.
• Perform Quality Assurancefunctions and supervision of contracted PharmacyTechnicians.
• Follow policies regardingdocumentation and reports to meet facility and commissionpolicy.
• Provide full checking labelingand quality assurance within the written policies andprocedures.
• Dispense medications withincorporate and regulatory guidelines for controlledsubstances.
• Must be able to understand theprecautions required when handling hazardous materials andhazardous waste

Applicants for this role musthave the following qualifications andexperience :

• Pharmacists must be a graduate ofan American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accreditedschool or university.
• Be licensed in a State Territoryor Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.License must be current valid andunencumbered.
• Must be licensed for controlledsubstances.
• Demonstrate effectiveinterpersonal communication skills with coworkers andstaff.
• Basic typing skills PC computerskills and working knowledge of MSOffice.
• Fluency in English (readingunderstanding speaking andwriting).
• Understanding of necessaryprecautions when handling hazardous medications materials andhazardous waste.
• Ability to pass a preassignmentbackground check and drugscreening.

This is a fulltime contractorposition based on acontract.

Pay : $76.15 to $86.13 per hourdepending onexperience.
