Job Description : Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical and Environmental Sciences Consultants has an immediate opening for a Project Geotechnical Engineer in Houston, Texas.
The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including meeting and interacting with the clients, and managing budgets.
- The Project Engineer will coordinate and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores;
- evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards; forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes; perform foundation, slope stability, and settlement analyses;
and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Duties of the Project Geotechnical Engineer will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians.
Education : B.S. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering), M.S. preferred.
Required Skills : The successful candidate should be a licensed professional engineer with 4+ years' of experience in geotechnical consulting.
The ideal candidate will bring local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practice. Candidate should be a team player, be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
