Meijer is looking for an Innovative andsolutions-driven Engineer with experience in solutions usingInfrastructure as Code (IaC).

This person will be responsible forautomating and managing test environments that support variousstages of the SDLC to ensure that the infrastructure is consistent,reliable, and can be rapidly deployed or scaled as needed.

We are looking for someone proficient inleveraging modern cloud technologies, as well as someone whounderstands physical on-premise environments, management andobservability tooling, configuration and provisioning managementgood practices along with modern IaC or other relevant tools toensure efficient, repeatable, and scalable infrastructuredeployment, management, maintenance and decommissioning.

WhatYou'll beDoing :

Develop andimplement test environment strategies and plans in alignment withproject requirements and organizationalobjectives.

Collaborate withproject teams to define, design, implement and manage environmentrequirements, timelines, and dependencies leveraging modernenvironment provisioning tools like Terraform and good practicessuch as infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions to supportcontinuous integration and deliverypipelines.

Collaborate withdevelopment teams to integrate good practices around ephemeralenvironments including things like containerization, IaC &observability tools to integrate environment management into theSDLC, enhancing the overall quality and speed of softwaredelivery.

Monitor andmaintain the availability, performance, and reliability of testenvironments, identifying and addressing issues proactively usingDynatrace / other monitoring Tools as provided by theenterprise.

Understand theITSM models to optimize environment management service activitiesto align with project priorities and change management activitiesminimizing impacts to the testenvironments.

Collaboratewith other teams to facilitate automated tests for infrastructurevalidation, ensuring that deployed environments meet the necessaryspecifications and performancebenchmarks.

Manage orsupport version control of infrastructure code to track changes,facilitate rollbacks, and maintain stability across differentenvironments

Provide regularstatus updates and reports on test environment activities, issues,and performancemetrics.

Support duringDefect triage andresolution.

Developand present comprehensive system flow and test flow diagrams toensure test environment variations align and support thedevelopmentlifecycle.

I mplementService Virtualization using Postman / other available MarketTools.

Performsfeasibility studies / proofs of concept, to evaluate TEMsolutions.

Workswithin the SAFe Agile framework and utilizes ITIL and ITSM bestpractices.

Conductstatic and local checks, apply and destroy environments orfacilitate the same with project teams or development groups, andsurvey usage to ensure the reliability and security ofinfrastructurecode.

WhatYou Bring with You(Qualifications) :

Bachelor’sdegree or equivalent in computer science, Information Technology,or related field.

Minimum of3 years of experience in ITSM aligned environment change / capacitymanagement (public, private or hybrid cloud) or related roles(DevOps, ManagedServices)

Strongunderstanding of test environment concepts, principles, and bestpractices, including ephemeral concepts andmanagement.

Proficiency inenvironment provisioning tools and technologies, such asvirtualization platforms, containerization, andinfrastructure-as-code (IaC)tools.

Experience withimplementing or working with infrastructure as code (IaC) andmodern configuration management / orchestration solutions leveragingtools such as Terraform, Ansible,CloudForms.

Excellentproblem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability todiagnose and resolve complex environmentissues.

Knowledge onenvironment observability and related tooling (Dynatracepreferred).

Experience withService Virtualization and related tooling (PostmanPreferred).

Strong verbaland written communication skills with an ability to express complextechnical concepts in businessterms.

Working knowledge ofSAFe agile framework preferred. Certification in SAFe, Environmentmanagement, software testing, or related areas is aplus.

Solid teamwork andinterpersonal skills. Ability to work well oncross-functional project teams and foster team commitment totasks.

Strong verbal andwritten communication skills with an ability to express complextechnical concepts in businessterms.

Ability toeffectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it tobusinessneeds.

ToolsandTechnologies :

Handson experience using PostmanTool

Knowledge of RedHatOpenShift, OpenShift Cluster Platform, Kubernetes, Containersolutions, Hypervisors, Microsoft Azure, related tooling, goodpractices for test environments and concepts formanagement.

Understanding ofnetwork concepts, protocols, and serviceslike DNS, HTTP / HTTPS, SSH, FTP,and IPSec.

Ability toleverage cloud-native tools for automation, scaling, monitoring,and securinginfrastructure

Hands onexperience with Dynatrace Monitoring and Dashboards. (Logmanagement with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) andSplunk a plus).

Knowledge ofOperating Systems : AIX, Linux, Unix, Windows andZOS.

Knowledge on Miro,ServiceNow, ADO. (BMC Helix isplus).

Hands-on withTerraform scripting or similar. (experience or knowledge of Pulumi,CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Templates, GitOps, ArgoCD,Flux a plus)

Experience withconfiguration management and automation tooling such as Ansible,Puppet, Chef, SaltStack and scripting with Bash, PowerShell, andPython orsimilar.

Understanding ofSDLC, CICD, Automation and Version controlconcepts.

Gooddocumentation, technical writing and versioncontrols.
