Senior Associate, Hedge Fund Tax Accountant
Locations : New York, NY Union, NJ Skillman, NJ Hybrid
Get To Know The Team :
The Tax Department leads the Company’s day-to-day tax operations, including the filing of federal, state, foreign, income, sales and use, VAT, and other tax returns.
The Tax Department also oversees all facets of foreign tax reporting. The Tax team is part of the Finance organization located in New York, NY, with regional locations in London, Sao Paulo and Singapore.

What You Will Get To Do :
Prepare and conduct first level review of Federal & State partnership tax returns utilizing Go System RIA
Perform the following functions :
Calculate foreign tax withholding and prepare necessary tax forms
Prepare quarterly tax estimates and year-end projections
Prepare book to tax income reconciliation
Work with staff in the preparation of tax work papers and perform the following tax analyses including :
Wash Sales
Constructive Sales
Straddles
Market Discount
Swaps bullet and NPC
K-1 summary analyses
What You Will Bring :
2+ years of partnership tax experience with a main concentration either in hedge or private equity funds
Experience with aggregate allocations and layering would be a plus
Knowledge of foreign reporting requirements a plus
Solid MS Excel and GoSystems knowledge is required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Team player, ability to set priorities and direct team members accordingly, highly organized, attentive to detail and ability to multi-task
