job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork requires the ability to lift and carry and / or push / pull heavy (over 50lbs.) materials, supplies and equipment frequently. Heavy mobility duties are usually performed by combinations of standing, walking, climbing ladders or steps, bending, reaching or transporting merchandise on frequent change basis relieved by fewer periods of sitting or operating a vehicle. Knowledge of effective customer service techniques. Knowledge of the principles and practices of basic mathematics. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to operate a cash register. Ability to perform routine mathematical computations and count change. Ability to perform frequent walking and / or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Knowledge of warehouse operations. Knowledge of inventory control techniques, as well as logistics knowledge. Skill in paying attention to detail, particularly in the manipulation and recording of numbers. Ability to lift scales, hand trucks, and dollies. Ability to occasionally lift boxes of materials, donations. Ability to load, unload, secure and protect goods. High School diploma or G.E.D.; And experience working in a retail store / warehouse preferred. Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Warehouse / Store Worker
Schedule / Hours : 2529 hours per week, Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 10 : 00 a.m. and 6 : 00 p.m.
This position is responsible for assisting customers with donations and purchases, operating and securing the cash register, and ensuring a clean and orderly store environment. Duties include receiving, sorting, pricing, and displaying donated items in accordance with established standards, as well as loading, unloading, and moving materials within the warehouse. The position also involves maintaining warehouse cleanliness, monitoring for security, and supporting donation pickups. Additionally, the worker may assist with disaster relief efforts, supervise volunteers, and perform other related duties as assigned.
