Purpose : Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support business plans and daily operations, ensure cost-efficient purchasing, maintain supplier relationships, and balance supply and demand.
Report progress and address issues to management. Oversee special projects such as supplier sourcing and purchase order monitoring.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN CONSUMER PRODUCTS.
Essential Functions :
- Must have led a purchasing department in the Consumer Products space.
- Global experience is critical. Will oversee purchased goods from China and Taiwan.
- Lead Demand Planning, Procurement, and Inventory Management departments.
- Maintain alliances with Asian suppliers to optimize costs and quality.
- Build relationships across Sales, Finance, Product Development, and Operations.
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning Team to align materials planning with production and customer commitments.
- Enhance processes to meet customer requirements for lead time and shipments.
- Monitor financial metrics and implement cost-saving measures.
- Supervise personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers, assess capabilities, and ensure suitability.
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop procurement plans.
- Analyze inventory and demand forecasts to optimize stock levels.
- Report on procurement activities and performance metrics.
- Implement sustainable sourcing practices and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain productive relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
- Support supplier launch readiness and manage freight forwarder interactions.
