Position Overview :

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in HVAC design to join our dynamic team.

As an integral part of our engineering department, you will collaborate with architects, designers, and other engineers to deliver comprehensive design solutions for a variety of projects.

The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong background in HVAC for healthcare projects.

This role requires expertise in Architectural Engineering and a passion for creating efficient, sustainable, and cutting-edge HVAC designs.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer as they apply to HVAC systems.
  • Advanced user in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and HVAC design software (e.g., IESVE, Trane Trace) is preferred.
  • At least 4-8 years of Mechanical Engineering experience with HVAC Design.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection, for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs while considering aesthetic, functional, and spatial requirements.
  • Conduct load calculations, equipment selection, duct and pipe sizing, and energy modeling to optimize system performance.
  • Perform simulations, and analyses to ensure the efficiency, sustainability, and compliance of mechanical systems with relevant codes and standards.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for mechanical systems, utilizing industry-standard software and tools.
  • Conduct site visits and field assessments to evaluate existing conditions, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and verify compliance with design specifications during construction.
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase and assist in resolving any design-related issues that may arise.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and HVAC design to enhance project outcomes and maintain competitiveness in the industry.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to communicate technical concepts, address concerns, and ensure project objectives are met.

Required Qualifications :

  • Advanced understanding of fundamental principles of HVAC design.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within project deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies in architectural engineering and sustainable design.
  • Experience in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, and HVAC design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
  • Experience working on healthcare projects, including hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities.
