POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the assessment and the insertion of PICC lines for patients requiring an intravenous access device. Responsibility also includes coordinating the process of PICC line placements, communication with primary care nurses and providing education for care and maintenance of vascular access devices.
The PICC line nurse directs the PICC line process and team members, establishing a positive and professional rapport with other departments and staff, focusing on the provision of individualized quality patient care consistent with organizational standards and goals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education : Graduate of Registered Nurse Program
Experience : None
License REGISTERED NURSE
Certification BLS / CPR, ACLS(AMERICAN HEART ASSN.), PALS(AMERICAN HEART ASSN) within 6 months, PICC CERTIFICATION within 6 months.
