Physical Therapy Aide

Company : California Rehabilitation & Sports Therapy

Pay : $16-18 / hr based on experience and kill set

Schedule : Part time - clinic is open M-F 8am-6pm

Location : 110 La Casa Via Walnut Creek, CA 94598,

Responsibilities :

Observing knowledge covering therapeutic assessments and treatments for a wide-ranging sports / orthopedic pathology.

Support physical therapy care elivery by preparing treatment area, patient, equipment, and materials, and performs procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant.

Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.

Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and / or assisting patients into physical therapy apparel or apertures.

Provide information to patients by answering questions and requests and allaying fears.

Help treat patients by applying heat packs and ice packs, assisting patients into the gym, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, tracking walking time and distance, measuring mobility, and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.

Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.

Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Provide equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment area, positioning equipment for therapist access, and positioning patient on equipment.

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science preferred

6 months+ related experience preferred.

CPR Certification preferred

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25-50 pounds regularly / occasionally.
