Assistant / Associate Professor of School Psychology
The Department of Educational Psychology in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University invites applications for 1 full-time tenure track / tenured, Assistant / Associate Professor position within the APA-accredited School Psychology Program.
This is a nine-month tenure-track appointment beginning August 1, 2025. Salary and start-up package are competitive and commensurate with rank, qualifications, and program of research.
We seek applicants with an established and fundable programmatic line of research that contributes significantly to the areas of mental health and working with culturally and linguistically varied populations.
The successful applicant will join a team of nationally recognized faculty with a record of external funding to support their research and outreach activities.
Applicants should have well-defined programs of research, demonstrated expertise or promise in obtaining extramural funding, and evidence of dedication to high-quality graduate teaching and mentoring.
The program and department are especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to the excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching, and service.
Candidates will have the expectory commitment to exemplary teaching,research,and serivce and a committeement to collegiality and collaboration.
Major Responsibilities
1. Maintain a coherent and productive program of research that will impact mental health and the profession of school psychology.
2. Maintain publication activity in high-quality journals.
3. Supervise graduate student research.
4. Seek and secure external funding to support research, personnel preparation, and / or outreach.
5. Provide professional service at state and national levels and institutional service at program, department, and school / college levels.
6. Teach, provide clinical supervision, and mentor undergraduate / graduate students.
1. Earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
2. Licensure as a Psychologist or Eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in Texas.
3. Evidence of, or potential for, developing significant research and quality publications.
4. Evidence of success or strong potential for securing external research funding.
