About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Stepdown Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 5x8 Day Shift, 9am - 5pm Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years med surg and tele experience, 1 year Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) experience License : Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and pass telemetry test with 85% or better.
Job Description : - Work primarily with mixed IMCU / neurology / med-surg patients. - Care for a patient mix comprising high neuro, medicine, and cardiology cases, including chronic vents and trachs.
- Manage high acuity heart failure patients. - Utilize auto medication dispensing systems effectively. - Patient ratio averages 1 : 3 in IMCU and 1 : 4 or 1 : 5 for med / surg level of care.
- Demonstrate proficiency and comfort in neuro care, MI, and trach experience. - Follow every other weekend and holiday rotation.
