Our client, situated near Purdue University in Lafayette, IN, is seeking a skilled Process / Project Engineer to join their large processing facility.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring day-to-day production efficiency, contributing to various projects, developing process designs, mentoring junior engineers, and more.
Further responsibilities include :
- Assisting in proposal preparation and providing engineering reports, cost estimates, and process transmittals
- Contributing to the design of moderately complex engineering projects or handling parts of major projects
- Bringing forward ideas for safer, cost-effective, or innovative techniques, regardless of project relevance
- Collaborating cross-functionally internally and externally
- Offering technical supervision and instructions to process operators
- Assisting entry level professionals in procedural and technical matters
- Troubleshooting issues and suggesting corrective actions
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a process / manufacturing environment
- Strong desire for personal growth, learning new operations, and mentoring others in overcoming engineering challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in basic chemical operations is essential
