We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school team in Louisiana. This position offers a full-time opportunity (24 / 25 hours per week) within a dynamic educational environment.
As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in providing speech and language therapy services to students, aiding in their communication development and academic success.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' speech and language needs within the educational setting.
- Monitor and document students' progress towards meeting therapy goals.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to discuss students' progress and determine ongoing therapy needs.
- Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.
Requirements :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as an SLP in Louisiana.
- State clearances and background checks as required.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
