JOB SUMMARY :

The Risk Coordinator is responsible for coordinating subcontract activities, to include implementation and monitoring of performance against defined targets and the collection and review of Subcontractor Certificates of Insurance.

SALARY RANGE : $38.35 - $41.95 hourly, $79,768.00 - 87,256.00 annually (companywide)

You are immediately 100% vested in all contributions (including BNB match). We provide both traditional (Pre-Tax) and Roth (post -tax) contribution options in our 401(k) plan.

It's 100% company funded and is invested in BNBuilders stock. You can participate in this long-term plan after you complete 1 year of service (with at least 1,000 hours).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Order BNBuilders' insurance certificates for our projects.
• Ability to read Owner contracts and subcontracts.
• Create the subcontractor insurance requirements based on Owner Contract requirements.
• Enter new projects and subcontracts into subcontractor certificate of insurance program.
• Collect subcontractor start dates to prioritize and manage the third-party reviewers' workload. Risk Coordinators are responsible for ensuring certificates are received prior to subcontractor's work starting in the field and fully compliant prior to first payment.
• Ensure subcontractors and their brokers understand non-compliant issues.
• Clarify any items that are not understood by the subcontractors or their brokers by obtaining more detailed information from the third-party reviewers or scheduling meetings to review.
• Make recommendations for subcontractors who cannot comply with the insurance requirements to best mitigate our risk and review with internal leadership.
• Track expiration dates to ensure insurance is renewed promptly.
• Maintain multiple subcontract risk logs, coordinating with project risk management teams and project teams on financial health and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• 2-4 years of relevant construction subcontractor management experience and review of Certificates of Insurance.
• 2-4 years of contract administration.
• Understanding of insurance fundamentals as well as knowledge and fluency with insurance products and terminology.
• Understanding of the construction trades and associated risks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• High client service ethic.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of and experience with Sage 300 is a plus.
• Knowledge of Accounting principles a plus.
• Experience with myCOI strongly preferred.
