US Trades is seeking a highly qualified and bilingual Safety (HSE) Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance on large-scale conveyor installation projects. The Safety Manager will be responsible for leading daily safety initiatives, performing evaluations, and serving as the first line of response for injury and illness assessments. This position plays a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and site-specific regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily safety talks and meetings with crews of up to 175 employees
  • Perform job safety evaluations and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Serve as the first line of response for injury and illness assessments and coordinate care as needed
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, customer-specific requirements, and US Trades policies
  • Prepare and maintain required safety documentation, incident reports, and compliance records
  • Collaborate with project management and supervisors to integrate safety into planning and operations
  • Lead safety onboarding and training for new employees and subcontractors
  • Actively promote a proactive safety culture across the jobsite

Requirements

  • OSHA 510 certification or equivalent recognized third-party safety certifications
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) – required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large daily safety talks and communicate effectively with diverse teams
  • Strong experience conducting field safety audits, inspections, and hazard analysis
  • Familiarity with OSHA reporting, recordkeeping, and safety documentation requirements
  • Experience serving as the first responder for workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Ability to manage safety programs in a fast-paced, multi-trade environment
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior safety management experience within the conveyor installation or material handling industry
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical safety practices related to conveyor systems
