Job Details
- Pending MD lic ok, must be in hand prior to start
- Thurs and Fri 7p-7a. 24 hrs per week
- Min. 2 years experience, will accept 1st time traveler
- Scanner equipment : GE, Siemens
- Performs cat scan procedures using prescribed techniques
- Reviews requisitions to ensure completeness verifying patient name, diagnosis, description of requested exam, adjusts equipment and selects appropriate technical factors to produce proper radiographic exposure
- Utilizes standard positioning techniques to obtain an optimal diagnostic image
- Selects appropriate protocol for each CT scan procedure; ensures proper levels of density and contrast are utilized to obtain and optimal quality image
- Performs scanning procedures of various organs to localize site of pathological process
- Complete examination in a timely manner, orders IV and oral contrast in powerchart
- Documents administration of contrast and scans paperwork into Cerner
- Perform exam completion, complete screenings / consents, and paper scanning in a timely manner
