Responsibilities
The Infection Preventionist will :
- Collect, analyze, and report data, the formulation and review of policies and procedures
- Plan, implement, evaluate and revise infection prevention and control practices
- Conduct outbreak and cluster investigations as indicated
- Participate in employee education programs
- Collaborate with the Infectious Disease physicians, Microbiologists, and other health care providers regarding infectious or employee health related issues
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
- 3+ years of Hospital Nursing experience with CT Registered Nurse (RN) license; or, Master's Degree in a Health-related field with their Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
- Knowledgeable in regulatory requirements such as Joint Commission and CMS, and in Outbreak investigation
