Key ResponsibilitiesReview medical records and verify documentation for diagnostic and procedural codesEnsure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, including HIPAA and CMSMaintain accurate documentation of coding activities and participate in quality improvement initiativesRequired Qualifications and EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent;
associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferredCPC certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or equivalent requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in an outpatient settingKnowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems and guidelinesProficient in Google Sheets and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
